Our Cask Ales

We are proud to offer six hand pulled cask ales at the Dusty Miller.

Of our six, we have two house ales continuously on our pumps – Ossett’s White Rat and Timothy Taylor’s Boltmaker. White Rat (4% abv) is a very pale, hoppy ale made using a combination of Cascade, Columbus & Amarillo hops. Boltmaker (4% abv) is a well-balanced, genuine Yorkshire Bitter, with a full measure of maltiness and a hoppy aroma. We have recently achieved Timothy Taylor’s Champion Club Member status due to how well we condition and serve our beer.

We rotate various ales from local breweries on our four other pumps. We aim to have a continuous selection of the very best pales, golden ales, darks, and bitters for you to try. Our favourite breweries include Halifax’s Darkland, Hebden Bridge’s Vocation, and Bradford’s Saltaire. We update our current ale list regularly on our Facebook page, here are some of our favourites:

Yorkshire Pale Ale (4.1%, Rooster’s), Jaipur (5.9%, Thornbridge) Wildfire Bitter (3.8%, Darkland), Landlord Dark (4.3%, Timothy Taylor), Golden Salamander (4.5% Salamander), Heart and Soul (4.4% Vocation), King Rat (5%, The Rat Brewery), Citra (4.2%, Oakham), Plum Porter (4.9%, Titanic)

Every Monday and Tuesday, we run our ‘Dusty Special’ cask ale deal. We select one of our guest beers and lower the price to under £3. When it’s gone, it’s gone!
